In Lakehurst New Jersey on October 18 discussions began on creating a dirigible transportation company to run on a 24 hour schedule between Europe and the United States. Miss Margaret Arbuckss and Miss Raelao performed vocal and dance numbers, with acrobatics, tap, and comedy by Miss Bernhardt Migues Wilson and Forrester. The show, except for a misfit act, will be repeated tonight and Ragion Novarro’s Forbidden Hours screens at traction. Mrs George Thomas returned home from Fydetown, Pa.

Louis Schauble of Erie, known in Corry, was announced as grand patriarch of the IOOF Grand Encampment of Pennsylvania at the 99th annual convention held in Elle yesterday. Chief officers include Robert Mullen of Pittsburgh as new grand high priest and others from Philadelphia and Shippensburg. officers chosen by popular vote of state lodges. Official election results were first announced at the opening session, with ceremonies continuing today.
Mrs Reynolds dies in Corry after seven weeks illness. Born September 22, 1874 in Weila Ville she lived most of her life here. Widow of George Reynolds she is survived by two daughters Catherine Zimmerman Celoron and Mira Shields, and a brother John Theobald. Funeral Saturday at 8 00 at her home 124 Twenty Church Street with interment at Pine Grove cemetery.
A wavering pencil message possibly by Roald Amundsen and five companions, missing in the Arctic last summer, was discovered on a gasoline tank aboard Amundsen's plane. The tank, brought to Copenhagen by the Norwegian boat Leif, carries two unreadable lines that researchers have yet to decipher.
Redpath Artist Singers are set to appear at the city’s High School auditorium next Wednesday evening October 24 as part of the Redpath Entertainment Course. Advance ticket pledges guarantee the winter course will be financially sound with a strong lineup including selections from The Mikado The Chocolate Soldier The Merry Widow and other favorites.

Erie County Patriarchal League directors met at the J C C Temple in Erie to plan winter activities. W S McCormick presided and the group slated a November 21 meeting at Waterford for the winter program. Encampment groups from North East Union City and others will participate in the program.
Corry fans travel to Erie Friday night for a boxing card headlined by Bucky Lawliss versus Gorilla Jones in a ten round main event. Jimmy Reid, Pete Petrolle, and Cesar Tovar contribute in six and other bouts on the program.
Lieut Commander H C MacDonald departed Harbor Grace Newfoundland aiming a solo cross Atlantic in a De havilland Gypsy Moth. Weather turned hostile with high winds fog and rain as hours passed with no word from him, fuel low and no sighting amid mid Atlantic seas.
