Cleveland report says three workmen drowned when their 44 foot motor launch overturned in Lake Erie before dawn. The body of Edward Hertz, 58, of Cleveland, was recovered while Coast Guard boats and an auxiliary air search looked four miles off Euclid Beach for Paul G. Glaser, 43, of Lorain, and John Gashiere, 43, of Fairport Harbor, believed upset by a cable snap during the accident.

Joanne Clabbatt, 17, daughter of Toward Clabbatt of Corry Kentucky, was crowned Miss Cory at the Junior High gym last evening as a crowd of about 400 watched. The coronation opened the week’s Pennsylvania Week and Pontia Pyrol festivities, with 6472 votes cast for eight contestants. Clabbatt won by 5 ballots over the second place finisher, and her court members received jewelry and photos. The queen will appear on a WEOU Erie television program Thursday with the state Potato Queen, and local celebrations continue.
