In Jerusalem on October 16 Prime Minister Ben Gurion announced the formation of a new government after three religious bloc members resigned. President Weizmann urged coalition talks with Knesset reconvening to decide on the new cabinet amid delicate parliamentary support and possible early elections. About 20 Conttouse from seven plants of Associated Spring Corp met at Hotel Corry led by Alden W. Purrington Bristol Conn. Firms represented included Ann Arbor, Mirh, Chicago, Detroit, Dayton, Hamilton Ont., Bristol and Corry. Flames destroyed a two story storage building at Charles Eggers Lumber yard causing about 30000 damage. Firefighters prevented spread and cause remained undetermined.
Giro police detained four people over the weekend for drunkenness and disorderly conduct. George Everett Craker of Rit Street admitted driving a damaged 1949 Hudson after hitting Steen’s cleaning plant on East Washington Street and paid fines of 2 and 10 dollars plus costs. John G. Wallace, 28, faced 10 dollars for disorderly conduct and 2 dollars for drunkenness and was released. Robert J. Wernm, 31, paid 2 dollars and costs for drunkenness. John Goring, 62, was arrested for drunkenness and awaiting a hearing.

In Ashtabula County, 63 year old Lester Stevens was found in the mouth of Gasende Creek near his home early Sunday. William Gill, 58, a South Ridge West farmer, was killed Sunday afternoon when his light traps crashed into a tractor trailer on Route 20 west of Ashtabula.
A freight train derailed on the Pennsylvania Railroad near Pittsfield at 5:90 yesterday morning. Thirteen ore cars left the track, causing more than $20,000 in damage and blocking 400 feet of track until late afternoon. Erie and Warren crews were sent to salvage cars as traffic resumed by 5:30 p.m. Local residents, including Corry motorists, watched the salvage near Bowles 6 and 27, while state police directed traffic.
Lloyd L Young, 47, of Re Didh Spartansbw2, suffered a laceration and possible concussion after being struck by a coal truck near Titusville at 3:85 am. He was taken to Titusville Hospital in Ne Amold ambulance and reported in fairly good condition. Driver Ronald McCall, 16, of BK Waterford, said he saw Young hesitate at the roadside and walk into the truck. The truck drifted across the north side of the road and struck a 1947 Chevrolet coupe owned by Archie McGlain of Titusville. No major vehicle damage. Meadville State Police assisted in the investigation.
A crash during the Heidelberg Raceway half mile track 100-lap feature at Oct 16 left five drivers from the Pittsburgh area injured. William Antion, 20, of Bridgeville, is in serious condition at Allegheny General Hospital with a possible skull fracture. The others were treated and released.
A local parade scheduled for Wednesday at 1 PM will feature floats and assorted equipment.
