Two Men Held For Breaking and Entering
Twenty years ago the Journal files note two men arrested for breaking and entering and theft from W. E. McCray in Elgin and the West store in the city. They were held for the next term of county court. Al Taylor, a South Street liveryman, was injured in a fall from a wagon, sidelining him for some time. Muddy roads hindered travel for a large Corryites party returning from Meadville roads meeting, but all motorists reached home. Board of Education meetings appointed principals for Concord, Hatch, Washington, and Fairview buildings: Hattie Bonsteel, Lotta Bonsteel, Gertrude Coyle, and Mary A. Ross.
