Willem Lawson Sr a 49 year old resident of 90 Wyan Dotte Street sustained a contusion to the right leg and a head bump as a two car collision occurred at Gi Yon Avenue and Vulcan Street. He was a passenger in a car driven by his son William K Lawson Jr 21. The Lawson vehicle overturned after being struck by a vehicle driven by Henry W Gretzier 79 of 84 West Columbus Avenue Co Ty Pa. Gretzier said he was north on Condon Avenue turning west on Willean Street and that he was blinded by the sun.
George H. Earle the Democratic candidate for governor visited Corry as part of a whirl wind Erie county tour. About sixty guests attended a luncheon at Hotel Corry followed by a reception where Earle and party were greeted by local Democrats.
Gen High Johnson resigns from his eighteen month run as NRA administrator. He will rest at Bernard Baruch's North Carolina estate after leaving a hospital carriage in Washington. Johnson says an administrative board will run the blue eagle programs while he contemplates future calls from Roosevelt and Cov Er.
Upwards of fifty men will be employed by the Relief Works Division on the West Congress street repaving job and a proposed sewer construction on West Congress West Frederick and King streets.
