A longtime Erie pastor collapsed during a service at Park Primar y Church as the 65th anniversary celebration continued. Surgeons and physicians were called, but Rev A S Henry Past died shortly after, with church leaders confirming his death after medical examination.
A three story building at Seventeenth and Cascade streets in Erie suffers partial destruction in an incendiary blaze. The fire forces fourteen people from their homes and causes about six thousand dollars in damage. Police hold seven men believed connected to the ignition. Police and fire department statements disclosed yesterday.
A lineman fell from a 50 foot pole during a high wire stunt in full view of a large crowd on State Street. He struck wires as a crowd watched and died after being removed to Hamot hospital, with two companions nearby.
