Louis J Steamm, a well known farmer from Cromining near Spartansburg, was crushed beneath a food cutter wagon while loading feed. He died at Corey hospital hours later. The incident occurred about 60 miles north of Spartansburg. witnesses could not confirm precise cause as the wagon toppled. Funeral arrangements were announced with services planned at the Homn and McCeay church.
