Policer?mans Orders Met With Resistance In City

Two men were arrested after resisting police orders during a drunken episode in the Business district. Chief Din oversaw the confrontations as officers Spencer and others detained the pair, who challenged authority and caused a brief disturbance before spending the night in jail. Bail set at ten dollars for tests and costs. A third man was arrested after directing profanity at the Chief. he remained in custody following his disorderly conduct. The incident concluded with the men posting bail and leaving the city.

Train Strikes Bus in Williamsport Killing Three

A fast Pennsylvania express train collided with a motor bus near Hobbesville ten miles north of Williamsport at 8 08 am killing three aboard the bus and seriously injuring seven others. The bus owned by W. Marki was traveling between Williamsport and Bloomsburg with eight people aboard. The dead are George G Ault 04 Mrs Sarah Hall 45 and Mee Wf Anderson all of Williamsport. The bus had paused to discharge passengers when the train crashed into its middle, injuring several more and blocking the crossing as onlookers gathered.

Power Line Project to Supply 100 000 Watts to Erie Area

The Ware Light and Power Company will invest about 400000 dollars for next year to construct a Warren to Corry to Erie transmission line. The system will connect the Clarion power plant with Erie and allow any of the three sites to supply power in emergencies. Commissioning is expected by December with Corry to receive power via Warren and ties via Oil City and Titusville. The project aims to greatly improve emergency protections for consumers in Warren, Corry, and Erie.
