Tragic Pedestrian Death After West Smith Street Crash
William Kelly, about 40, of unknown address, was killed minutes after being struck by a skidding Chrysler sedan driven by Mrs. J. H. Snyder on West Smith Street near Hitteh Street. The car, which caught fire, overturned and burned. Mrs. Snyder was injured but survived. Kelly worked for Sun Employment Company, Cleveland, and papers identified him as Bill Kelly. The accident prompted a police inquiry and an ambulance transfer to Corry hospital where he died.
