A Corry man spent last night in the city jail after police were called to quiet a disturbance at his home. Thomas G. Shafer Jr., 28, of 00194 Six th avenue, was taken to the lockup at 12:40 a.m. by city police officers. Investigating officers said they found Shafer allegedly drunk when they arrived. Shafer's wife told police he had thrown two beer bottles at her and another woman and chased them, causing fear of bodily harm. He will be released today and will receive a citation for disorderly conduct.
