Meet Again On Fate Of Local Dam

A State Fish Commission meeting on the Columbus Dam reconstruction is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at General State Authority offices in Harrisburg. Nazarene Church Plans $85,000 Expansion in Corry

Rev. Joseph Kanzlemar announced plans to build an $85,000 brick church on Essex street attached to the existing educational unit. The 400-seat sanctuary will replace the 250-seat space, with 13 Sunday School rooms in the new basement. The parsonage will be torn down for a new one. attendance has risen from 50 to 230, making the church Western Pennsylvania’s fastest growing.

Rotary Club Seeks Corry GIs for Letters Home

The Corry Rotary Club started a people to people program to match Corry area servicemen in Viet Nam with local letters from home. Two men linked to stolen Titusville car found in Corry

Police traced a red and white 1956 car abandoned near Bowl Aire lanes to Jamex Rose of Titusville. Rose recovered the vehicle, muffler troubles forced abandonment, and officers connected the case to two men seen loitering around a car on Maple avenue. The Leech car from Union City may be elsewhere or on a return trip.

Corry Youth First To Win U S 4 H Award

Rodney McCray a Corry Area High School sophomore becomes Erie County's first 4 H National Award winner announced yesterday. He will attend the National 4 H Club Congress in Chicago November 28 to December 2 joining 39 Pennsylvania youths among 1 200 members from 50 states and Puerto Rico representing 4 H youth nationwide.

Dowell Inc of Corry fractured a well in the Dunns Eddy area near Trvine Tidioute road on Sunday. Lessee Abe Travis said glass beads used to prop open the fracture bring oil and water, reducing initial flow. He expects full potential to arrive in two to three weeks. the operation marked the largest single fracture east of the Mississippi.

Boy Admits Auto Store Burglary

A youth admitted breaking into the Western Auto Store on East Washington Street and stealing hundreds of dollars in merchandise and $10 in cash. He told troopers and city police he gave part of the loot to another 15 year old. all items were recovered.
