Schools City Share Tax Rebate in Corry Area

The Corry Area School District will receive 13515 from the state revenue department and the city of Corry 6796 in the first distribution of public utility realty tax payments for this year. Malaysian 117YearOld Man Pleads Guilty For Living Out of Wedlock

A Kelantan religious court in Kuala Lumpur released 117 year old Lebai Omar Hin Datuk Panglima Garang on probation after he pleaded guilty to living out of wedlock with a 40 year old woman. It was his third conviction on the same charge with the same woman. The court fined him 80 dollars. The man, a self described Silat teacher, has 17 prior marriages. The offense occurred at his house near Alor Setar between June 26 and Aug 15. The woman, Dayal Hint bap, was fined 100 dollars by the same court and is serving a two month sentence for nonpayment.

City begins hiring for new First Avenue community center

City officials announced at Monday’s council meeting that a staff team is being formed for the forthcoming First Avenue community center. The city has secured three CEA slots under the federal program to fill operational positions at the center.

Zoning Board Approves Three Variances for City

The Zoning Board of Adjustment approved variances for David A Johnson at 525 East Smith Street to replace a large barn with a smaller 16 by 24 foot structure to house horses. Dr. Rogelio A Cruz received permission for a 24 by 8 modular office with a basement and 12 parking spaces, later adding a one car garage. parking must be paved by September 1 next year.

Clymer Elderly May Inspect Housing Units
