Chief Boatswain's Mate Victor Mature arrives by train in Pittsburgh to visit injured Eunice Kinzer, 11, the Coast Guard mascot, after a brain tumor operation at Allegheny General Hospital. Mature, who had hoped to attend the Coast Guard show, spoke by telephone to reassure her and promised she would be all right. He met Eunice last August when she watched from a wheelchair during performances of Tars and Spars and was named official mascot by Coast Guard members.
