Burned Youth Found in Drum Near Centerville Pa
In Centerville Pennsylvania Washington County a teenage boy was found burned to death in a paper chemical drum on a blacktop road. Hunters reported finding a nude charred body of a white male between 14 and 18 years old about five feet tall and weighing 120 to 130 pounds. Two one gallon cans of thinner were nearby and the clothes were missing. Authorities believe he was alive when placed in the drum and died from smoke inhalation after a fire possibly started with thinner. An inquiry continues to identify the victim.

Gas Tank Explodes Leveling a Clymer Home
A fire in Clymer leveled a two story home on Allen road without injuries after a gas tank on the porch exploded minutes before 30 volunteer firefighters arrived. Fire Chief Merton Querrveld verified the blast hurled second tank into a garage. The Jamestown Red Cross to aid occupied residence Emmett Hamrick family with six children. Carter to send U S representative to Cairo peace conference
President Carter announced the United States will send a high level delegation to a mid December Cairo conference called by President Anwar Sadat. Alfred L. Atherton will head the U S delegation and the talks are targeted for December 13 with Sadat setting a response deadline of December 3. Deer Kills Continue as Hunters Wounded in Pennsylvania

Six Found Alive After Plane Crash in Colorado
In harsh mountain conditions two nights in subfreezing cold, six of seven Oklahoma City residents aboard a Cessna 414 were found alive after a crash on Haystack Mountain west of Aspen. Seventeen-year-old Charles Randolph hiked to summon help, guiding rescuers back to the others who were airlifted to Denver area hospitals. One dead, C B Cameron, president of American Fidelity Insurance, was recovered.
