Capt John Wanamaker Jr grandson of the department store heir died after a cerebral hemorrhage. He served as aide on General Pershing's staff during the war and was famed as a powerboat rower. He was twice married and survived by his widow. Burial planned in Philadelphia on Saturday.

Justice Department seeks injunction over production group violation

Washington reports the Justice Department will sue to restrain Hour Manufacturing Co for alleged violations of the recovery act bargaining provisions. Refuse Plea for License Revocation in Erie Court

In Erie county court this morning Judge A P Rossiter dismissed a petition seeking revocation of the liquor license held by Miss Anna Carnegie for the Commercial restaurant on East Malmn Street. The petition alleged the Hust Main steel establishment was operated by her father Joseph Carnegie, an alien, and thus not entitled to the license. Judge Rossiter found the evidence insufficient and the petition failed to disclose grounds for revocation.

The inquest into George Nelson known as Baby Face Nelson concluded he died from the law's vengeance with nine bullets in his body. Behringer Gets Year in Jail for Hit and Run Fatal

Edward L Behringer 28 of Petroleum Center was sentenced by Judge Lee A McCracken to one year in jail after a conviction for leaving the scene of a fatal accident. The case stemmed from Behringers alleged speeding that struck and killed 14 year old Robert Bradley last October 28 and injured his brother Aten Bradley 19. Behringer was acquitted of voluntary manslaughter charges.

Wilkinsburg Hunter Killed in Fryburg Hunting Accident

Reports say Charles Heasley of Wilkinsburg was killed in a hunting accident near Fryburg. Two other hunters were injured and taken to Oil City hospital. No further details were immediately available.
