The reactivated Parking Authority met at the Phoenix Hotel yesterday naming Wilbur F Rickers as chairman and Robert Clark as secretary treasurer. Seven members formed the new Authority, replacing the previous 14, with plans for off street parking projects and monthly meetings, while City Council retains on street control.
Al Holton announces the opening of Al's Superette on East Columbus avenue, the eighth expansion in 16 years. Casually Abraham, 71, of Pittsfield area, was treated at Warren General Hospital in fair condition for a fracture and severe laceration to his left leg after his clothing was pulled into a corn binder while working on his farm. The machine was shut off by bystanders. He was transported by Youngsville Fire Department ambulance to the hospital.
