Westfield Jim Pleads Guilty In Erie Racketeering Case
ERIE James Westfield Salamone 48 a top Erie gambler pleaded guilty to three bribery and one conspiracy charge in a surprise move. Judge Burton Laub deferred sentencing to December 30 to await disposition of charges against 35 other defendants in the Erie racket protection scandal. Salamone named co owner of Erie Coin Sales on State Street and said he left school after seventh grade.
