State Searching For Convention Delegates
Harrisburg AP The search for Pennsylvania delegates who will commit to a presidential candidate at the Democratic national convention grows more intense and could produce a divided delegation. Senators Humphrey and McGovern have opened state offices. Muskie will open next. Pennsylvania has 182 of 3,016 delegates. Governor Shapp aims for unity, but reforms may require pledged delegates for two ballots and 75 percent of delegates elected from districts in the April 1972 primary.
