In Monessen, Pennsylvania three youths face charges for committing 14 burglaries and larcenies across Westmoreland and Fayette counties. Police identified two of the suspects as 18 year old Charles Nichols and 18 year old Anthony A. Tiss tina. a third suspect, age 16, was not named.

Fire Rips Through Two Story Union City Building
A $100,000 blaze gutted a two story brick building in Union City Monday night, housing the post office, a grocery, a clothing store and four apartments. Eight fire companies fought for four hours. all occupants were evacuated safely. Firemen cited defective wiring as the cause. Local residents listed include areas in Union City Waterford and Sharpsville. A Fredonia police tractor hunt followed a missing tractor from Davis Randall trucking yard.
