State Quota Law Faces Court Action Across Counties
The Associated Press reports the state quota law remains contentious as Erie and Allegheny county courts reverse earlier rulings, ruling that license cuts fall within the quota. The Liquor Control Board had deemed clubs under the law, while various counties split. Governor Dull vetoed a bill exempting veterans clubs for 18 months, influencing court positions. The Cambridge county court announced it will hear no more appeals from liquor board license refusals under the quota law.
