Members and guests of the Tuesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club enjoyed a three table Howell session at the YMCA. The average score was 25 with winners including Mrs. Earle Haight and Mrs. Florence McCray at 29 percent. Rosalie Williams and Veo Lindsey followed at 29, Arthur Hansen of Union City and T. H. Treat at 26, and John Pierce with Lloyd Stowe at 25. A regular game is planned for next Tuesday afternoon and all local bridge players are invited. Reservations can be made with Mrs. John Pierce.
A casting agent for Allegheny County residents hired for minor roles in the MGM film Going Home has filed a suit against MGM for unpaid wages. Ten actors were to be paid 487 total for work shot last summer in Pittsburgh. A hearing is set before Magistrate John S. Wasko next Tuesday. The film has since released and plays at a downtown theater.
The Corry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary plans the 25th Sno Ball on December 18 at the Elks Lodge with a silver anniversary theme. Aimed at 18 to 25 year old college women, the event features coronation at 1 pm, a midnight buffet, and tickets $5 per couple sold at Grice Jewelers or by phone. Reservations close December 15.
