Superintendent Thomas R. Shupe announced CAHS will reopen December 1 with two shifts for junior and senior high students. Junior classes 8 15 am to 1 15 pm. seniors 1 15 pm to 6 18 pm. Six 48 minute periods no cafeteria. lunches to be brought. Elementary hours adjusted to 4 15 am start. dismissals 1 45 pm or 2 pm. Bus transportation eased. Wright School follows same schedule.

Engineer Rankin said he traveled 1 to 20 mph as the car appeared suddenly, with horn and bell in use. Fireman Wujee and brakeman Lee assisted. the scene showed no track damage or mine debris, and the car was a total loss.
