Washington AP reports government surveys show more than half of the Bicentennial class of high school seniors have tried marijuana with about 32 percent current users at graduation. Separate institute surveys find 18 to 25 year olds with 53 percent tried and 25 percent current users. costs of drug abuse run between 84 and 122 billion annually, with tobacco and alcohol costs also itemized.

FDA proposes warning labels on fluorocarbon aerosols

Sprague, chief counsel for the House committee on assassinations, calls it unusual that authorities did not obtain a full confession from James Earl Ray in exchange for accepting his guilty plea in the slaying of Dr. Martin Luther King.
