25 000 More Pa Homes Will Be Saved By Hold
Philadelphia Nov. 17 More than 25,000 homes in Pennsylvania may be saved before HOLC actions end, says Ewing LaPorte state head. He denied 65,000 loan applications would be rejected and cited about 48,000 applications pending. roughly 26,000 in legal stage, with about 23,000 remaining for the state. He noted half of these would be refused for title defects and other technical reasons. Since HOLC began, over 30,000 loans totaling more than 85 million dollars have been granted in Pennsylvania, with an equal number rejected. Three months may be needed to complete loans on ineligible applications.
