Columbus Elementary School will hold all day and evening activities tomorrow for American Education Week with daytime visitation 9 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m., an open house 6:20 to 8 p.m. Parents are asked to arrange appointments with teachers. Refreshments will be served during the open house.
The engagement of Jody Zoe Kurelowech to Jeffery Brian Mack is announced by their parents. Jody is a 1977 Corry Area High School graduate employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Corry. Jeffery is a 1976 CAHS graduate and drafting trainee at Cooper Energy Services in Corry. The couple plans to wed in early fall 1978 with date to be set.

Corry Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club hosted a three table Howell at the YMCA with an average score of 25. Winners were Mrs. Sarah Davidson and Mrs. Kay Muckinhaupt at 35 percent and Mr. and Mrs FH Bartholme of Union City at 32 percent. No game on Nov 22 for Thanksgiving. Nov 29 features a newcomers game at 1 p.m. at the Y call 664-7067 to reserve. A son, Shannon McCall, was born Nov 15, 1977 at Alliance City Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Weaver. mother Jane Jones. Grandparents: Donald Jones of 887 East South St and Edwin Weaver of Columbus.
Today in Corry reports the November 5 ceremony at St Thomas the Apostle Church for Miss Jessica Lynne Nichols and Gregory Eugene Linden. The couple, both Corry natives, were joined in a double ring ceremony with 125 guests and a reception at the Corry Rod and Gun Club.
Bear Lake News reports a December 5 meeting at Peggy Osborne and a December 19 Christmas party at Mrs Floyd Potter with potluck dishes and a $2 gift exchange. Members also voted to donate $50 to cover postage for sending care packages to servicemen and college youth. A Bear Lake firemen’s Thanksgiving and Christmas boxes event is set for Thursday November 17 at 7 pm at the fire hall.
