Century-Old Corry Map Change Promised If Annexation Favored
Erie County court ruling could redraw Corry’s city map by annexing 940 acres from Wayne Township. The move adds about 10 percent of territory, bringing North Hills Golf Course into the city and extending the water works sewering plan. Residents and property owners show majority support, while township tax base bears a small loss. City would assume road funding and services but expects a three to four year payback via new taxes and state funds.
