No local Muscular Dystrophy drive planned in Erie County

Erie County Muscular Dystrophy officials say no local fundraising drive is scheduled as part of the national campaign. The group is among 49 agencies in the Erie County United Fund, which will fund the annual MDT effort. The United Fund contributed 10000 to the MD fund, with part designated for national research. Instead of a drive, November will honor United Fund contributors. The Corry Community Chest allotted 500 for national MD research, but the local chest drive missed its 64920 goal by ten percent, yielding about 450 for MD.
