Two Injured In Bear Lake Accident

Two people were admitted to Corry Memorial Hospital after a one car crash south of Bear Lake at 5:45 pm. Thomas O Connor, 56, and his wife Marjorie, 55, of Wexford RD 2, were listed in satisfactory condition. The car rolled over a 15 foot embankment into a creek. they were transported by Bear Lake Volunteer Fire Department. Damages were listed as unknown.

Local Man Named PM At Spring Creek

Virgil Warner, 52, of 324 West Smith Street, has been named postmaster at Spring Creek. The appointment is among 56 new USPS postings across New York Pennsylvania Vermont Connecticut New Hampshire and New Jersey, effective last Saturday. Warner, Corry native and Corry High School graduate, has served with the USPS since February 1949 and is a veteran of Army service. The Spring Creek post office moved into the store basement with a temporary appointment. Robert Marsh, previously acting assistant postmaster and permanent superintendent of mails, now heads R C 1 rural route, while Fred Marsh becomes acting superintendent of mails.

Mrs Norman Roberts gave birth to her fourth child Sunday in a nursery where plants grow. The Dunlap Life Squad ambulance pulled off Ohio 127 in Colerain Township into the Naturp Garden Center lot to deliver the baby before continuing to Jewish Hospital. The mother and baby were reported doing fine. The husband said he expected to induce labor Monday.

Plan to open branch of Stairways mental rehab here

David C. Shiel, executive director of Stairways in Erie, outlines a plan to establish a Corry branch offering rehabilitation, employment help, and counseling for former psychiatric patients.
