Convict Sought In Slaying At East Side Home
Police hunted 36 year old George Gavin, a convicted killer, after he allegedly held a family at gunpoint in Youngstown Ohio. Mrs Jenny Lozoway was killed, 15 year old George Lozoway was wounded, and 17 year old Donna Lozoway treated after a gunfight that lasted about two hours. The suspect had dated Donna since last April and refused to help carry the wounded mother to hospital. Police said Gavin had convicted murder of a liquor store operator in Providence Rhode Island in 1950.
