Five men rode to a hunting trip when the car failed to make a turn at a road intersection two miles south of Emlenton. Robert Soll of Natrona Heights was killed. John Linhart suffered a deep head wound and a back injury. A R Tin, the driver, broke a rib. Harry Dun, the owner, and John Shook were injured. Fire and medical responders arrived after a call from N R Patterson.

BRIG November 12 James Sutten twenty four, a prisoner in Erie county jail, offered to donate blood to his wife Mrs Sutten at Hamot hospital within an hour to avert death. The transfusion used Suttens blood matched half of his wife. He was temporarily released from jail to undergo the procedure and returned afterward.
