Thirteen entries highlighted the Columbus Grange cookie contest held Monday at the Columbus Community Building. Winners included Mrs Hazel Eldred Mrs Philip Wade Mrs Edgar Spoon and Mrs David Curtis Miss Shirleyann Johnson Pomona Grange home economics chair Warren and her mother served as judges and winners were invited to the Pomona Grange contest in Akeley on Saturday. David Curtis master led the session and Wade reported on purchases of dishes and silverware. A card party for men and women is planned for December 7 at the Community Building.

Mrs Messenger Honored With Baby Shower in Columbus
A Sunday afternoon baby shower for Mrs Melvin Messenger of Columbus was hosted by Mrs Marvin Carlson on Fifth Avenue with co host Mrs Theodore Kielar.
