A masked bandit robbed J Webster Evan, a registered mail messenger, of between 20000 and 25000 dollars en route to deliver a payroll package for Birdsboro National Bank. He fled in a running car toward Hopewell in Chester County. state and postal authorities comb the hills and thickets nearby, confident the suspect will be captured before nightfall.
