Loomis, once hospitalized at North Warren State Hospital, had lived as a recluse in the woods and was seen by hunters as recently as October 26. Deputy Coroner Mark Glenn ruled death due to natural causes.
Erie woman Betty Marye 231 of Erie died in a two car collision at a city intersection yesterday. Janet Wilson 31 of Erie drove one car. she and the other driver Merbert Smith 29 of Erie were not injured.

In Clarksville Maryland two gunmen robbed the Central Bank of Howard County taking 18 250 dollars. Evans Ashmore cashier said a lone gunman entered during a Friday night session and forced customers and tellers to the floor before entering the vault and seizing a cloth box of cash. State and county police set roadblocks but the suspects fled north on U S 29 toward Baltimore.

In Oakmont suburb near Pittsburgh a coroner jury cleared 13 year old William McReery Jr after he testified a 16 gauge shotgun discharged accidentally at his home last September, killing 12 year old Fred Kymer. His mother Mrs Lous Kymer kissed him in relief after the verdict.
Corry Area Schools will hold an open house week from November 10 to 16 in connection with American Education Week. Superintendent L. M. Douglas said the entire system will be open all week with an all-day open house on Wednesday November 12. Guided tours will occur that day and there will be no evening open house. Parents are urged to attend at a convenient time during the week to see the school system in operation.
Samuel S George aged 65, longtime night managing editor of the Greensburg Tribune Review, dies after a long career that began in 1910 as a janitor at the former Greensburg Morning Review. He was widely considered the dean of Westmoreland County editors.
A letter to Mr. Ax Blair, Pennsylvania Commerce, reports an Aero Supply appeal exceeded its $80,000 goal. Subscriptions total about $86,500 with signs it may reach $90,000. The breakdown lists Aero Supply employees, utilities, real estate, automotive, hotels, construction, and other groups contributing. The note continues on Page Three.

A Florida bound motor schooner ran aground last night in the Delaware River near New Castle. A man and his partner were rescued after signaling SOS. The couple aboard were Irwin Conway, 35, a commercial artist, and his wife Noreia. They were headed south to their 18 foot yacht.
