A Monday morning blaze in Tryonville destroyed the home and general store of Mrs. JR Curtis. Only the scales and a few clothing items were saved from the store. J F R Smith, alerted by Mrs Curtis, found the ceilings ablaze and fire extant. within an hour the building burned completely with no insurance to cover the loss.
