Suspects Arrested After Suspicious Encounters on Fourth Street

Detective Sergeant George C Harrison and Patrolman Clavence arrested two men on Fourth and Cherry after reports of suspicious behavior. The duo, dressed well with a $427 and a $456 suit, claimed to be actors from St Louis seeking a show venue. Police questioned their alibis and gathered conflicting statements.

Jewelers Suspect Arrested In Grand Larceny Case

Tamestown N Y reports Frank Kitter arrested on grand larceny charges after a damon ring theft from Arnson v Main Strout Jey olar. The check used for payment was drawn on Ol City Trust Company. Arnson swore out a warrant. Kifer fled then returned and was chased by Detective Sergeant Har Hoon. He claimed to be a lumber salesman and is to be arraigned in court today.

The North Warren Will meeting of the Late Hospital for the Insane board will review the committee report on selecting a superintendent. Fifteen applications were received. the executive head will be appointed after the report is read. The exact meeting date is not yet decided.

Speaker Cox Dies Unexpectedly in Homestead

Hillstung Nov. 6 Speaker John Cox of the Pennsylvania legislature died today in his home in Homestead. The death was unexpected with friends stating he was poisoned by enemies. He was 63 years old and had served in the state legislature since 1881, and was elected speaker on January 5, 1900 after previous terms.

Mother Killed in Accident Near Kittanning

In Garretts Run, Pa on November 6, Mrs. Mary Lehner, 20, was fatally wounded when her brother in law Dowell Quinn cleaned a gun. A misfired shell discharged as he checked the fitting, striking her breast as she leaned over a cradle to laugh at her infant. She died at Kittanning Hospital an hour later.
