London Society Girl Sets New Flight Record
Miss Peggy Salaman, a London debutante, arrived in Capetown after a record breaking nonstop flight from London. She left near London last Friday night and reached Capetown at 7 30 am, surpassing the previous long flight by about 85 hours. The 19 year old traveled about 1150 miles via Khartoum and Bulawayo in five days six and a half hours. She wore trousers and a shirt during the trip and carried one expensive evening gown.
