Red Cross To Take Part In Northwestern Workshop

The Corry chapter of the American Red Cross will join the Northwestern Pennsylvania Disaster Workshop at Edinboro State College on November 11. Albert Cole Disaster chairman says the full day will host over 100 representatives from various groups and area schools for Mass Care Operations. Four workshops cover Feeding Family Service Clothing and Registration information Lodging and Medical Aid Administration and Recreation. Delegates from Corry Erie Girard Meadville Warren Titusville and Jamestown New York will attend along with National Red Cross staff.

Rayburn Weighs 130 as Cancer

Texas Democrat and House Speaker Sam Rayburn, age 79, is gravely ill with incurable cancer and has dropped from 170 to 130 pounds. Doctor Joe Risser said a blood transfusion was given after a declining blood count.

Waynesburg Pa. A 15 year old man in Greene County Memorial Hospital today after accidentally shooting himself while burning near here. State Police ward Umberto Servetini shot himself in the forehead yesterday. He was listed in fale cortethon.
