McAninch Spartansburg dies after brief illness
Ralph L. McAninch 61 of Spartansburg died in Titusville Hospital after a brief illness. A former Arnold coach and later a Royster Fertilizer salesman, he was active in Spar tan Lodge FAM and the Arnold Methodist Church. Survived by wife Ethelyn, daughter Suzanne Greer, three brothers and three sisters. Funeral service 2 p.m. tomorrow at Spartansburg United Methodist Church with Rev. H. Louis Hewitt. interment Rose Hill Cemetery.

Train Rams Car Killing 15-Year-Old in Bloomsburg
A 15-year-old Central Columbia High student Perry Lee Boyer of Bloomsburg was killed when an Eric Lackawanna train struck the car he rode in with his 16-year-old brother Ricky at a grade crossing near Espy. Ricky Boyer was in serious condition at a Bloomsburg hospital.
