Captain Charles A Lindbergh departed Paris for Brussels where King Albert of Belgium awaited to bestow the Order of Leopold. Thousands honored him with American flags as Lindbergh’s Ryan monoplane touched down at Le Bourget and then left for Brussels in light eastern daylight.

Earl Carroll in critical condition in Atlanta

New York theatrical producer Earl Carroll was reported in critical condition in Atlanta on May 28. Atlanta diagnostician Dr Henry McGehee said the illness is partly physical and partly mental and urged immediate action. Tragedy After Quarrel Ends In Leap From Car

Agnes Labudil, wife of Andrew Labudil, mother of seven, leapt from a moving car during an argument over gasoline waste on a Spartans road near the city. She died of head injuries about 4 AM after being found unconscious by her husband and son. Deputy Coroner Mark Fullom investigated, with neighbors corroborating the couple’s quarrel and the husband’s account. Funeral services will be held at St. Elizabeth's Church.
