A long delayed project on the Red Cross property at East Main street was completed with the erection of a flag pole. The site had been delayed due to razing a building and landscaping. Embert Earle, chapter president, supervised the pole installation as workmen completed the project. Shrubs were planted by the Future Farmers of America under Richard Farrer, with a Journal photo by McMichael.
