Ashtabula, Ohio, police and FBI agents arrested Charles Leroy Sallee in Sandusky on a fugitive warrant for the December 30 armed robbery at Victory Food Market where $813 was taken at riflepoint. Sallee, 28, was set to be arraigned in Toledo. Erie’s an accessory before the fact charge was filed against another suspect.
Bodies of Lawrence W. Porter and Charles A. Wonderle, both 67, were recovered six hours after their 16 foot boat capsized on Lake Evie. Porter of Lakewood and Wonderle of Rocky River had begun the trip early Tuesday with twin outboard motors.
