All Red Faces Not Necessarily Those Of Indians

SEYUSVILLE One of those red faced things that school administrators guard against happened this week at Tusville High School. An award was presented to the wrong son. Miss Judith Henne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs George M. Henne, should have received an annual math award. Instead it went to Robert Reid, son of Rev. and Mrs. William K. Reid. The winner is determined by a test given some time ago. Miss Henne had the higher mark, Reid the next, but signals became mixed up. The award is sponsored by the Balfour Jewelry Co. Told of the mistake, Reid graciously gave it up. Miss Henne will enter Swarthmore College this fall to study math, Reid is going to Harvard. Both received a certificate of merit from the National Merit Scholarship Program, placing them among the top one percent of high school seniors in the country.
