Texas fliers set endurance record at Meacham Field
Rez Robbins and Kim Kelly, both in their twenties, completed a 172 hour flight in a cabin monoplane before a crowd of 50,000 at Fort Worth Meacham Field. A propeller failure forced an end to the record run, but the pair praised the Wright Whirlwind engine and declared they could have continued longer.
