Harrisburg May 25 The work of considering plans for a new state executive mansion will be undertaken within a few weeks. Benson A Tay Joy, secretary of property and supplies in Governor Fischer's cabinet, said the legislature voted a 5000 dollar appropriation to carry on the commission's work to investigate the advisability of a new mansion and, if possible, obtain a site. Taylor Edward Martin auditor general and Sam Lewis state treasurer comprise the committee.
Erie May 2 0 80 year old August Nolte of 4405 Seventh Street hanged himself Friday in his bathroom. The body was found by family members. Coroner Dan Hanley ruled death by his own action. Nolte allegedly placed a rope over the door and leaped to the floor from the bath tub.

A large all day Young People’s Rally is set for next Wednesday May 30 at The Christian and Missionary Alliance church in the city. Delegates from across northwestern Pennsylvania expected. The program runs 10 30 in the morning through evening with testimonies prayers dinner song services missionary addresses and offerings. Notable speakers include Rev Benjamin Lewis Danae Dahl Nellie Jones H D Rheatiss and other delegates.
Special services Sunday at 11 o'clock at the Baptist Church honor war veterans and members of G. A. R. V. F. W. and Ladies Auxiliaries with music arranged by the church choir and a sermon by Rev. A. L. Roth titled God and the Republic. Veterans of Foreign Wars and Ladies Auxiliary urged to attend, and a joint march from the V. P. W. hall to the church is planned. A missionary address by Miss Nellie Jones is scheduled at 1:45 with the committee led by H. S. Lehman and A. Brown coordinating the event.
