State Highway Dept Official Denies Misuse of Funds

Pa treasurer Louis Lewis defended the highway department financing and denied hidden slush funds. He cited the modern system as a result of vision by former Governor Sprout and other Pennsylvanians while pledging vigilance against wasteful spending and misconduct. Delegates from Pennsylvania automobile clubs attended the convention with leaders from the American Automobile Association and the Pennsylvania Motor Federation.
