Washington May 22 Roosevelt administration seeks to nationalize silver purchases and raise silver to 25 percent of monetary stocks, aiming for a 25 to 75 gold to silver ratio and a 100 per cent tax on silver speculation profits as part of a world bi metallic standard effort. Seek bandits who kidnapped Philadelphia doctor
Philadelphia May 22 police hunted four youth bandits who kidnapped Dr. Samuel A. Savitz of this city in his car after stopping at a red light. One bandit stepped onto the tuning board, three others climbed in as the robber pressed a pistol.
