One Legal Proof Of Age Says State Supreme Court
In Our Opinion the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court upheld the Liquor Control Board Adult Identification Card as the only legal proof of age in licensed establishments. The ruling supported suspending a Canonsburg tavern owner for serving a beer to a 16 year old with a false draft card. The court held the owner should have required presentation of a state AID card per the Liquor Code, stating the licensee has the means to protect himself and that the defendant did not avail himself of this defense.
