He says his deed describes about 86 acres and cites prior surveys and tax history.
Police report a morning break in at Ten Pin Lanes in Jamestown yielded more than 6000 dollars in cash and checks. Lt Earl L. Thies said the loot included 5461 in paper money 290 in rolled change 200 in loose change 3233 in checks plus 200 in rolled change 20 in petty cash from a desk. The safe was tipped upside down in the office when discovered.

Erie attorney Thomas Barber won nominations on both Democratic and Republican lines for Erie County judge. Carney led the Democratic ticket. McClelland topped the Republican slate. Barber’s totals: 11,610 GOP votes and 13,961 Democratic votes. Barber 61, 30 years in Erie practice. Judges Rossiter and Laub retire after long terms.
Liebel, a 45 year old county probation officer since 1953, led Democrats with an unofficial 6 316 votes while Andrew J Hanisek, a present deputy, won the Republican nomination by about 1500 votes over Neil McLaughlin as Sheriff John L Coates retires after endorsing his deputy.

City Councilman Michael A. Cannavino defeated Louis J. Tullio to win the Democratic mayoral nomination in Erie. Williamson leads Republicans unopposed for re election. unaffiliated districts remain. Cannavino jubilant at 13th and State HQ as supporters rally behind a clean campaign and vow vigorous November fight.
Firemen estimated damage at 250000 after a sprayer exploded inside the Loewengart & Co tannery. The blaze spread through chemicals and other combustibles, destroying part of the main building yesterday.
In Spring Creek yesterday a write-in surge produced Mrs. Wallace Sickler as the GOP tax collector nominee. Her husband is the incumbent but declined to run. 55 write-in votes swept the field as no Democrats appeared on the ballot. Kenneth Sickler led the Democratic write-ins, signaling a likely family contest in November.
Former mayor J. Fred Kinley loses to Merle Ottaway for the First Ward alderman seat by a margin slightly over two to one.
