Blaze Ignores Truck Through Franklin Refinery Grounds

A truck owned by Clyde D. Durfee of Oil City burst into flames near the Telipse Works of the Atlantic Refining Co. in Franklin about 9:80 o'clock Saturday night. The blaze started in the load as the driver Ernest Bashar of Oil City discovered the fire while passing the refinery and drove on toward the western plant end. A large portion of the cargo was destroyed but no injuries occurred. The truck was transporting merchandise from Pittsburgh to Franklin and had halted in Oil City overnight. The chassis was undamaged, indicating the fire originated in the load rather than the vehicle itself.
