Four More of Crew Are Saved After Open Boat Ordeal
In the North Atlantic the US Revenue Cutter Boneca rescued four survivors from the freight steamer Columbian after thirteen days adrift. Eleven others perished. bodies were cast overboard as the ship burned off Sable Island on May 1. The Seneca later saved further crew from the Towslands and Franconia.

Revolver duel reported in Oklahoma farm pursuit
United Press dispatch from Tulsa says a revolver duel is underway on a local farm as a posse searches for Douglas Roo, a Black thief, accused of robbing a drug store where he worked. Roo is surrounded after wounding several in the posse. Detective Captain Rice is believed fatally wounded.
